It sounds hyperbolic to state that growing a beard can transform your life, but for Gwilym Pugh, it’s the reality. With the right time he was 21 years of age, Pugh had established an insurance company in his bedroom. While it was successful, the sedentary lifestyle (compounded by a bad knee) caused him to consider 280 pounds. “In those days I obese was fairly, a day working 12 hours, plagued with accidents which meant I couldn’t train at all,” the now 33-year-old recalls.
“The business was doing alright but I determined I had a need to get my entire life in order, and wanted to improve your health again.” Around that same time, he started a folk-country music group along with his friends. And what do you when you begin a group like that? It wasn’t a lot a suggestion from his barber, but an agreeable order. The beard and a dedication to completely clean up his diet began to transform Pugh’s body. However the thing that basically helped his weight-loss success was stopping his desk job.
“It was a very important thing for my health as I ended seated for 9-10 hours a day.” Pugh estimates that it took him between four and five years to steadily lose the weight. He now will keep an optical vision on his steps to ensure he remains active. Pugh joined Instagram after shedding the excess pounds, which decision is exactly what cemented his new life. “I started using Instagram as a means of public networking and growing my profile which of the music group,” he explained.

“It was there I was spotted and soon after chosen to be the face of Nathan Palmer’s 2015 collection-which provided me a massive boost in self-confidence. From there, things escalated quickly and launched Pugh into a full-fledged male modeling profession. He’s signed to a high London agency called AMCK Models now, and his beard is so impressive that it was featured in a written book, called 100 Beards aptly. In addition to modeling, Pugh can be an aspiring professional photographer also. Follow his modeling pursuits and photographic adventures on his popular Instagram account. When he was 21 years old, Gwilym Pugh was a self-described shy man who worked well a lot and weighed 280 pounds. He made a decision to “get healthy again” and joined a band. His barber quickly informed him to grow a beard.
It made me feel great inside my skin to be a middle-age man and to know that in a few small way I helped them feel great inside their skin. Now it’s time for me to consider the daily energy I’ve devoted to Pierini Fitness and direct it somewhere else. Maybe I’ll write an everyday poem to my partner who deserves more of my expressive attention than I’ve given her. To be a great husband should be the perpetual goal of most “real” middle-age men.
Instead, the researchers’ computer simulations indicate that assumption overestimates weight reduction because it fails to account for how metabolism changes. The computer simulations show how these metabolic changes may vary among people significantly. Results shall be published Aug. 26 in a Lancet issue devoted to obesity. However, the computer simulation of metabolism is intended as a study tool rather than as a weight-loss guide for the public. The computer program can run simulations for changes in calories from fat or exercise that could never be suggested for healthy weight loss. The researchers hope to use the knowledge gained from developing the model and from clinical trials in people to refine the tool for everybody.
